Smooth Collies.

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge a lovely, friendly show, and thanks to my steward. I enjoyed my day.

VETERAN DOG 1

1. Denton’s Rylance Moonshine Over Brackenhaye, 8 yrs. A blue merle of good colour with desired markings and full collar. Average height and everything in proportion. Eye could be a little darker, good ears with correct tip, and correct stop. Good topline with rise over loins evident, tail to hock. Good angulations, giving him nice, brisk movement. BVD

JUNIOR DOG 1

1, Denton’s Coldelee Take It To The Limit, 18 months, sable. I liked the look of this lad as soon as he came into the ring. A masculine boy, all in proportion with correct stop, good parallels and almond shaped eye giving lovely alert expression. Used his ears well. Nice, balanced angulations, moved well with reaching stride. At only 18 months should have good future ahead. Pleased to award BD, BOB and he was ultimately awarded BIS.

OPEN DOG 2(1)

1. Rodgers’ Blamorder Mischief Maker With Jerdoni, 3 yrs, sable. A masculine lad with good parallels, dark almond eye obliquely set, used his ears well. Good depth of chest and ribs well sprung. Good presence in the ring and settled on the move with good brisk movement with correct tail carriage. RBD

VETERAN BITCH 2(2)1. Beeney’s Ch Coneypark Golden Brown, 7 years, shaded sable. A feminine girl with correct length to height ratio, nice head with correct stop, good parallels, almond dark eye giving nice alert expression. Used her ears well. Good top line with rise over loins evident. Coat a good colour with full collar. Good presence in the ring and settled on the move. BB, RBB BVB

2. Sweeney & Lusty’s Ch Blamorder Do Quite Nicely AW(S), 7 years, blue merle. Well proportioned, correct length to height, good parallels, eye just a little light but obliquely set. Correct ear tip. Well balanced angulations, stood parallel from behind, tail to hock, could have done with more drive.

JUNIOR BITCH 11. Batten’s Koczkodan In My Dreams With Qeudeekae, 17 months tricolour. A, feminine girl, very happy today! Nice head with correct stop and lovely alert expression, though eye could be darker. Correct tip to the ears, scissor bite, correct length to height. Nice brisk, effortless movement and single tracking. Just needs some time to develop and mature.

POST GRADUATE BITCH 2(1)1. Rodgers’ Blamorder High Brow With Jerdoni, 5 yrs, tricolour with full collar. Feminine girl with everything in proportion. Correct stop, dark almond eye giving alert expression. Correct tip to the ears which she used well. Neck arch apparent going into correct topline. Tail slightly short. Effortless movement with correct tail carriage.

2. Batten’s Koczkodan In My Dreams With Qeudeekae

OPEN BITCH 11. Rundle’s Shulune Imperial Bonny Blu, 2½ years, blue merle. Another feminine girl all in proportion. Lovely head with correct stop and parallels, almond eye obliquely set, just a tough light. Neck arch apparent going in good topline with correct length to height ratio and rise over loins evident. Had a lovely movement with reaching stride and single tracking. Let down slightly only by her markings. RBB
